Vintage Style Card

 Hi

I’m back today to share a vintage style card I made recently for one of the weekly challenges over on Cotswold Crafter’s blog.

I found the pretty papers in my stash and just knew I had to use them. I distressed them around the edges before matting and layering them. The Amazing Paper Grace die set is perfect for the vintage style with the added punched flowers. I used my favourite Tim Holtz butterfly die and a sentiment to finish it off.

Christmas Rose

 Hi

I posted this card on Instagram the other week, and totally forgot to share it on here! Another Christmas card to add to my stash 😊

I used Chloe’s Creative Cards Christmas Rose stamp and die set. I absolutely love it, and it doesn’t have to be used just for Christmas. The background was made using a Spellbinders die which I heat embossed. I’ve also used an Amazing Paper Grace die set in the centre.

50th Birthday

 Hi

Today is my wonderful Husband’s 50th Birthday, so I wanted to share the card I made for him.

I used a Chloe’s Creative Cards background stamp, and The Stamp Market’s ‘Happy Birthday’ die. The stamped sentiments are also from The Stamp Market. The 50 die cuts are from a Memory Box alphabet set, and the stars from my stash.

Happy Birthday Hubby ❤️

Starting Something New - Art Journal

 Hi

I’ve been thinking about starting an art journal for quite a while now, but have been putting it off as I wasn’t sure where to start! So when Sandra of Cotswold Crafter blog asked us if we’d like to start a journal, I knew it was time to bite the bullet and give it a go and enjoy experimenting.

I found an MDF album I bought at a craft show a few years ago, and decided to use this so that I can add my own pages of different card stock.

I started by decorating the cover, and although it took me a few days to decide what to do, and the uncertainty of the colour combo I’d chosen, once I put it all together I was really pleased with how it turned out. I particularly like the sentiment, which seems very apt for the project.

I hope you will stick with me and follow me on my art journal journey.

Thank you for stopping by.

Christmas Shaker Card

 Hi

I wanted this card to have its day on the blog as I was so pleased with how it turned out. I haven’t made a shaker card for a long time, but wanted something special for my Mum and Dad’s card.

The slimline aperture dies from Heffy Doodle are perfect for the shaker part of the card. I had the snowflake acetate in my stash and with the die cut snowflakes and ice blue sequins, I think it looks very classy.

I hope you like it.

First Christmas card for 2022

 Hi

I’m back today to share my first Christmas card for the year - it’s never to early to start! 😉

I was inspired to make it from a beautiful card by Debby Hughes of Lime Doodle Design. She has some gorgeous creations on her blog, so be sure to pop over and take a look.

I’ve used Milled Lavender distress oxide spray for the background with some glitter texture paste through an AALL and Create stencil. The snowflakes from Memory Box are cut in mirror card from Chloe’s Creative Crafts. I heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of vellum. The sequins and enamel dots finish it off perfectly.

I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Here’s to 2022……

 Hello my crafty friends

Well, as this year draws to a close, I thought I’d give you an update on what’s been happening with my crafting journey.

Firstly, my apologies for not posting very often, and in fact I hadn’t realised how long it had been since my last post! I am still crafting (very much so) but tend to share mainly on Instagram now and occasionally Pinterest. I’ve given up with my Facebook page, although it’s still there if you would like to see it, but generally all the cards on there are on here too.

I’ve enjoyed being a member of the lovely Cotswold Crafter blog, making some wonderful friends and sharing our creations and inspiration. There’s been times this last year when I’ve put away my crafting stuff, and taken a break from it for a while - I think it’s fair to say that a lot of us go through that phase of our mojo going awol, and we just need a little time to focus on something else. However, with the love and support of my crafting friends, I’ve been encouraged and inspired to get back to it and continue creating. We really are a ‘blog family’ for which I am so grateful for ❤️

So, as we go into 2022, Im looking forward to continuing my crafting journey, trying new things and old - hoping to make use of my expanding craft stash!

Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Crafty New Year.

More Beautiful Butterflies

Hi

Sorry I’ve not blogged in a little while, but I’m back today to share a few of my recent makes. These Tim Holtz butterfly dies are my absolute go to die. There are two different butterflies in the set, but this one is my favourite and adorns many of my cards 😊

Beautiful Butterflies

 Hi

Thought I’d give this card it’s day on the blog when I realised I hadn’t shared it.

I’m loving using the DL slimline cards, and I wanted to create something with these pretty papers which have been in my stash for a while. I’ve used a Sue Wilson die and Tim Holtz butterfly.

My Son and his girlfriend moved into their new home yesterday, so I thought I’d share the card I made for them.

I’m loving the colour combo, which was taken from the weekly challenge over at Cotswold Crafter’s blog.

The tree lined stamp is from Inkylicious. The house die cut from Mama Elephant. Printed heart paper from The Lovely Studio.

Husbands Birthday Card

 Hi

I’m back to share the card I made for my Husband’s birthday last week. Being in a band and playing the guitar, the ‘Vocalist’ stamp from AALL & Create was perfect for him. I’ve also used the ‘Paint Splodges’ stamps from Honey Doo Crafts to create the background. The sentiment strips and little heart stamps are from Tracey Hey.

Birthday Elephant

 Hi

I’m back today to share the Birthday card I made for my Niece. I’ve used the cute little elephant stamp by Tracey Hey. I used my ProMarkers to colour her top and headband in, and the ring around the LOTV circle sentiment. The background stamp is one from the Ink splotches set from HoneyDoo crafts, and the die cut frame is from Sizzix.

Birthday Butterflies

 Hi

Sorry I’ve been quiet on here lately, but I’m back today sharing a card I made recently for my Mum’s Birthday. I recently purchased some slimline dies from Heffy Doodle and couldn’t wait to start using them. The outer scalloped edge one is slightly bigger than the DL card blanks I use, so I trimmed it down to fit. The Tim Holtz butterflies fit perfectly in the apertures.

Thanks for stopping by, I’ll be back again soon.

Stay safe

Christmas Cards

 Hi

Thought I’d share a few Christmas cards I’ve made recently. I’ve not made as many as I’d have liked, due to the new addition to our family keeping us busy, but I’ve made a few in what little spare time I’ve had. Hopefully I’ll get around to making some more before the big day!

Thanks for stopping by.

Stay safe.

Apologies

 Hi

Thought I’d just pop by to let you know that I’m still here, but my crafting has taken a back seat for a while! Reason being.......we have a puppy 😍 We welcomed our little Cockapoo boy into our home a few weeks ago. I hope to be back to crafting soon, so please bear with me.

Thanks for stopping by.
