Christmas Rose

I posted this card on Instagram the other week, and totally forgot to share it on here! Another Christmas card to add to my stash 😊

I used Chloe’s Creative Cards Christmas Rose stamp and die set. I absolutely love it, and it doesn’t have to be used just for Christmas. The background was made using a Spellbinders die which I heat embossed. I’ve also used an Amazing Paper Grace die set in the centre.

More Recent Makes.

Hope everyone is keeping well and staying safe. Sorry not to have blogged for a few days, along with crafting, I’ve been at work. One of the lucky ones, I’m grateful I can still go out to work during these times, caring for our residents at the retirement village where I work.

I thought I’d share a few cards with you, which I hadn’t got around to blogging, but wanted them to have their day on the blog.

The first card was one I made for my sister-in-law’s Birthday. I used Sue Wilson’s ‘Hamilton’ die from the New Zealand collection. I cut the shape twice into the cream card, and then cut again using its outer edge to use as the focal point. The patterned papers are from Anna Marie Designs ‘Blissful Cotton’. The flower is by Sue Wilson and the sentiment from Just Rite Stamps.

The second card, I made to participate in a blog challenge over on the Cotswold Crafter blog. It was a tic tac toe challenge and I chose punch or die cut, patterned paper and floral. Again, I’ve used Anna Marie Designs papers in ‘Blissful Teal’. The curved borders are from Spellbinders as well as the medallion which the Crafters Companion flower sits on. The LOTV sentiment was stamped onto the Sue Wilson pierced flag dies.

The third card uses Sue Wilson’s ‘Scandinavian’ background die and the ‘Hamilton’ die again, layered with ‘Blissful Teal papers. The circle sentiment is from LOTV.

Beautiful Butterflies.

Hi. I am sorry I haven't been blogging lately - been so busy and just haven't had the time to share any of my creations!

 I would like to share a couple of quicks cards with you today using the beautiful butterfly die which I have (not sure who its by.) It forms the main element of my cards, layering it upon the Latin Script stamp from Inkylicious and one of the Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One dies. The stamped sentiment is from LOTV. The pretty papers are from the Tres Chic collection by Studio Light.

Guitar Boy.

Hi. I am so behind with my blogging and I apologise for that. I have been busy making cards for different occasions and building up my Christmas card stash. Before I devote some posts to Christmas, I wanted to share the Birthday card I made for our youngest son James. His Birthday was back in August, but I wanted this card to have its day on the blog. James has just recently started playing the guitar, teaching himself, with a little help from my Hubby, so this image was just right for him (although we don't have a dog, lol)

The image is from one of the LOTV art pads, as is the stamped sentiment. The die cut sentiment is from Spellbinders and the guitars are from All Occasion Dies by Robert Addams.

Pretty In Pink.

Hi. I'm back today to share a couple of recently made cards. 

The first card was for one of the mini challenges over at Cotswold Crafter to use butterflies on our creations. I cut the butterfly on card coloured with distress ink. It was layered within a couple of circle frames and added to my background. The background is cut with dies from the Distressed Addington Collage set from Memory Box. A stamped sentiment finishes it off.

My second card was for a friend who has just recently become a Great Grandma for the second time. I didn't really have anything specific for a baby girl, so decided on the sweet LOTV image. I layered it onto one of the Spellbinders Marvellous Squares dies and added punched flowers to the corners. The sentiment is from JustRite stamps.

Masculine Cards - Art Pad Images.

Hi. I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine today. A little hot for me so I thought I'd take the chance to share a couple of cards. I have a few cards which I have been meaning to blog for a while, so todays share is a couple of masculine cards. One of them was for Fathers Day back in June - so that shows how long I've been meaning to show them!

Both are pretty basic with matting and layering using cardstock and patterned papers. The images are from the LOTV art pads (now discontinued) and the sentiments also from LOTV. The die cut sentiment on the second card is from Spellbinders.

Sketch Challenge.

Hi. Sharing a couple of cards today based on one of Sandra's sketch challenges over at Cotswold Crafter. The first card shown is the one I submitted, but after I'd made it I thought that I should have changed the middle horizontal border colours around to make it stand out more! So, I made the second card the following day, and I much prefer it!

I have used Spellbinders dies - The Mary Border Strip and Die D-Lites Medallion 1 for the centre.

The Sentiment is Sue Wilson's Perspectives - Triple Best Wishes.

Framed Background - Christmas Card.

Hi. As promised I'm back to share the second card I made with the framed background. This time, a Christmas card to add to my stash.

I have used the same Copenhagen background die within the frame, but didn't glitter through this one. My main focal element is the dove from Sue Wilson's Festive Collection - Dove of Peace. I double cut this to build up the wings. I have also used the Peace sentiment from the same set, cut in glitter cardstock to match the dove, and mounted onto a Spellbinders tag. The patterned paper is from the Silent Night Collection by First Edition Papers, Trimcraft.

With Love.

Hi. I am back again today to share with you the Anniversary card I made for my Mum to give my Dad. I decided to make a box card, and although its quite fiddly to do I was pleased with the finished creation.

The patterned card I used to cover the box - on top of a gold mirri card matts - is from the Gilded Winter collection by First Edition Papers, Trimcraft. The majority of the beautiful designs are for Christmas, but was thrilled with the patterned one I chose, as the gold sparkle effect goes perfectly on this occasion! I used the same card  to cut the Champagne bottle and glasses. These are dies from Robert Addams. I cut the Cosmic Star Border from Memory Box dies twice from glittered cardstock, and also the 'with love' die from Spellbinders. The circled sentiment is from the Wedding Greetings set by Creative Expressions. The little heart stamps on the sides are from LOTV.

More LOTV Birthday Cards.

Hi. Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. Been busy with crafting projects and just everyday life! Anyway, here are the last few Birthday cards for January. All using images from the LOTV art pads (now discontinued, unfortunately!) I loved making the shaker card and you will definitely be seeing more of these over the next few months - although I think in my next ones I will be adding more sequins!! I hope you like them.

Happy New Year!

Hi. Happy New Year to you all!! I know we're already through the first week, but I have been busy with a new project :-))

 Firstly, I'd like to share a card I made for my Mum to give my Dad for his Birthday which is next week. I spent most of Monday getting it made, as I see my parents every Tuesday so wanted to take it with me then so that Mum would have it ready for next week. Unfortunately with rushing about getting ready for work and making sure the boys had everything for their return back to school that day, I totally forgot to pick up the card, so my rush to get it made wasn't needed in the end! Anyway I am pleased with the way it turned out. 

I used a LOTV image from one of the art pads. The heart tag is Magnolia Doohickeys and the Happy Birthday is Spellbinders.

Now onto my new project....

I have been thinking for a while about doing a 365 day photo project, but thought I probably wouldn't manage to take a photo everyday! After lots of searching on the internet I decided on a 52 week project. I came across Project Life by Becky Higgins and bought the Project Life app on my iPad. I have been playing around with it this last week and have completed my cover page and my first weeks photo page. Today I will just share with you the cover page, but if you would like to pop back tomorrow I will share the first photo page then. I realise that through this project quite a few of the photos will be taken with my mobile phone or iPad - but even after this first week it has made me look at things differently knowing that I want to get a good selection of pictures each week. Hopefully by the end of this year my photography will be much improved, as it is one hobby I seem to have neglected recently.

Favourite Five Of 2015.

Hi. Thanks for stopping by on this last day of 2015. Another year to look forward to, where I hope to be able to spend more time on my hobbies - including my crafting and getting back into my photography. (I am hoping to start a 52 week photo project, but its still in the planning at the moment, so watch this space!)
