Christmas Rose

 Hi

I posted this card on Instagram the other week, and totally forgot to share it on here! Another Christmas card to add to my stash 😊

I used Chloe’s Creative Cards Christmas Rose stamp and die set. I absolutely love it, and it doesn’t have to be used just for Christmas. The background was made using a Spellbinders die which I heat embossed. I’ve also used an Amazing Paper Grace die set in the centre.

Thanks for stopping by.

50th Birthday

 Hi

Today is my wonderful Husband’s 50th Birthday, so I wanted to share the card I made for him.

I used a Chloe’s Creative Cards background stamp, and The Stamp Market’s ‘Happy Birthday’ die. The stamped sentiments are also from The Stamp Market. The 50 die cuts are from a Memory Box alphabet set, and the stars from my stash.

Happy Birthday Hubby ❤️

Starting Something New - Art Journal

 Hi

I’ve been thinking about starting an art journal for quite a while now, but have been putting it off as I wasn’t sure where to start! So when Sandra of Cotswold Crafter blog asked us if we’d like to start a journal, I knew it was time to bite the bullet and give it a go and enjoy experimenting.

I found an MDF album I bought at a craft show a few years ago, and decided to use this so that I can add my own pages of different card stock.

I started by decorating the cover, and although it took me a few days to decide what to do, and the uncertainty of the colour combo I’d chosen, once I put it all together I was really pleased with how it turned out. I particularly like the sentiment, which seems very apt for the project.

I hope you will stick with me and follow me on my art journal journey.

Thank you for stopping by.

First Christmas card for 2022

 Hi

I’m back today to share my first Christmas card for the year - it’s never to early to start! 😉

I was inspired to make it from a beautiful card by Debby Hughes of Lime Doodle Design. She has some gorgeous creations on her blog, so be sure to pop over and take a look.

I’ve used Milled Lavender distress oxide spray for the background with some glitter texture paste through an AALL and Create stencil. The snowflakes from Memory Box are cut in mirror card from Chloe’s Creative Crafts. I heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of vellum. The sequins and enamel dots finish it off perfectly.

I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

My Son and his girlfriend moved into their new home yesterday, so I thought I’d share the card I made for them.

I’m loving the colour combo, which was taken from the weekly challenge over at Cotswold Crafter’s blog.

The tree lined stamp is from Inkylicious. The house die cut from Mama Elephant. Printed heart paper from The Lovely Studio.

Husbands Birthday Card

 Hi

I’m back to share the card I made for my Husband’s birthday last week. Being in a band and playing the guitar, the ‘Vocalist’ stamp from AALL & Create was perfect for him. I’ve also used the ‘Paint Splodges’ stamps from Honey Doo Crafts to create the background. The sentiment strips and little heart stamps are from Tracey Hey.

Christmas Cards

 Hi

Thought I’d share a few Christmas cards I’ve made recently. I’ve not made as many as I’d have liked, due to the new addition to our family keeping us busy, but I’ve made a few in what little spare time I’ve had. Hopefully I’ll get around to making some more before the big day!

Thanks for stopping by.

Stay safe.

Hi
As promised, I’m back today sharing another couple of cards using my new stamps from Tracey Hey. I really just wanted to play around with them, and see what I came up with. So here are the results - a bit different to my usual style, but it’s good to just go with the flow and see what happens!
The stamp sets I’ve used are: Epic Stuff, Dotty Definitions, Doing Great and Mwah.

For My Lovely Work Colleagues

Hi
I’m back today sharing a couple of cards I made for my work colleagues during this difficult time. I am so lucky to work with an amazing team of lovely ladies ❤️
For my first card, I cut strips of card stock to create a rainbow effect, along with the die cut hearts. The die cut and stamped sentiments are from Sugar Pea Designs.

My second card is for one of our work colleagues who has been self isolating and working from home. We all miss her so much, and wanted to let her know that we’re all thinking of her.
Using the little dog stamped image, I layered it on die cut circles on to the square frame. I tucked the flowered tag behind, along with the heart border. The sentiment on the pierced flags and little hearts finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe.

Beautiful Butterflies.

Hi. I am sorry I haven't been blogging lately - been so busy and just haven't had the time to share any of my creations!
I would like to share a couple of quicks cards with you today using the beautiful butterfly die which I have (not sure who its by.) It forms the main element of my cards, layering it upon the Latin Script stamp from Inkylicious and one of the Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One dies. The stamped sentiment is from LOTV. The pretty papers are from the Tres Chic collection by Studio Light.
I hope you like them. Thanks for stopping by today.

Masculine Cards - Art Pad Images.

Hi. I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine today. A little hot for me so I thought I'd take the chance to share a couple of cards. I have a few cards which I have been meaning to blog for a while, so todays share is a couple of masculine cards. One of them was for Fathers Day back in June - so that shows how long I've been meaning to show them!
Both are pretty basic with matting and layering using cardstock and patterned papers. The images are from the LOTV art pads (now discontinued) and the sentiments also from LOTV. The die cut sentiment on the second card is from Spellbinders.
Thanks for stopping by.

Quick Cards.

Hi. Thought I'd share a couple of cards I made the other day. These were quick and easy and are great additions to my stash of ready made cards. I have been really busy with lots of crafting, but unfortunately am not finding the time to blog much at the moment. Hopefully in the next few days I'll have time to share some more of my creations with you.
I have used Memory Box dies, adding colour with ink pads and embossing enamel. The die cuts are added to a stamped panel in the same colours. The sentiment is from LOTV.
Thanks for stopping by. I promise I'll be back again soon :-)

Stamping Challenge.

Hi. Just a quick post today to show the cards I made for Sandra's mini challenge over at Cotswold Crafter. We were challenged to just use stamps alone. I chose some of my Inkylicious stamps and had great fun playing. My backgrounds were inked with Distress Ink pads, and although Sandra had challenged us to not use any dies, I couldn't resist making just one by framing my image with the Grace die from Sue Wilson!
Hope you like them :-) Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Love Gives Us A Fairytale.....

Hi. As promised last week, I would like to start sharing with you the creations I have been making for my Mum and Dad's Golden Wedding Anniversary. These have kept me busy over the last few months, and I can't believe how quickly it has come round. The big day is on Saturday, and although Mum and Dad didn't want a fuss with no surprise party, we are looking forward to spending the day as a family and celebrating their special day together.
First up is the card I made for my Dad to give my Mum. I love the sentiment on this, as I truly believe  that my parents have a wonderful marriage and after fifty years they are still very much in love. The sentiment is from Creative Expressions - Wedding Greetings set. I have used Sue Wilson's Regal striplet for the background. The circle frames are from the Italian Collection - Decorative frames. The couple are a die cut I purchased already cut in a pack. The smaller sentiment - Special Day - is from JustRite Stamps. The flowers by Robert Addams are topped with the tiny heart off cuts from the circle frame. The numbers are from the Parker numbers set by Memory Box.
Hope you like it. I will be back again soon to share the card I made for my Mum to give my Dad.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Hint Of Pink.

Hi. So sorry I haven't been around for a few weeks. I have had this horrible virus thats been going around, and it really took it out of me :-( Anyway, I am on the mend now and back to crafting with lots to catch up on!
I thought I'd share this pretty card with you. I just love this colour combo and am really pleased with  how it turned out.
I have used dies by Sue Wilson. Both the Auckland and Hamilton from the New Zealand Collection. The flowers are from the Delicate Daisies - Open Petals. I love these flowers, so pretty and delicate. The sentiments are from LOTV.
I hope you like it. Will be back again soon to show you what I have been working on for my Mum and Dad's Golden Wedding Anniversary :-)

Mixed Media Butterfly

Hi. Thought I would share something I have been working on over the weekend. I wanted to try doing some mixed media, something which I love the look of, but have never really got right into before. I didn't really know where to start, as after browsing You Tube my head was spinning with so many different ideas. So I thought I'd start with something simple.
I bought a couple of blank mini albums a while back, so decided I'd decorate one for myself. So far I have finished the front cover, and white washed the pages with acrylic paint. I inked a piece of watercolour card with Distress inks, blending purples with blue. I spritzed the whole sheet with water, and shimmer mists. I then brushed some acrylic mixed with Distress ink lightly over this. I cut a panel for the front cover, and also the butterfly and honeycomb die from this one sheet. I added some texture to the front panel with embossing paste, which once dry I then spritzed with more shimmer mists, and then sponged over more of my inks. The edges of the panel and the butterfly were heat embossed with purple metallic embossing powder. I added the stamped sentiment to an offcut of the watercolour card.
Its starting to take shape and so far I am really pleased with the results. Looking forward to getting it all finished and being able to add some special photos inside.
Thanks for stopping by.
