Happy Birthday Captain Tom

Hi
I wanted to share with you the card I made and sent to Captain Tom Moore. It’s his 100th Birthday today! This gentleman is a real Hero, and during this Coronavirus lockdown, he pledged to raise money for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden. To this day, along with completing and carrying on with his challenge he has raised over £29 million! He deserves to be celebrated after such a fantastic achievement. He has received over 125,000 Birthday cards, topped the singles chart at number 1 with Michael Ball, is having an RAF flypast to honour his Birthday, a train named after him and a Royal Mail postmark on letters posted this week! This will all certainly go down in history and will be one of the great memorable stories of the Coronavirus Lockdown 2020.

Happy Birthday Captain Tom.

Stay safe.

Double Halo Oval - With Love.

 Hi
I wanted to share another card with you, made using the Double Halo Oval die set from Amazing Paper Grace. I love this set, and by just adding some pretty papers, I think it makes a beautiful card.
I’ve used the main die and inner die as my focal point, along with Anna Marie Designs Garden Blooms papers. I cut the corner die three times and added these along the bottom to create the border.
The butterfly from Tim Holtz finishes it off with the LOTV sentiment stamped onto the pierced flags from Sue Wilson.

I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe.

Same die, different cards.

Hi
Hope you are keeping well, and enjoying the glorious spring sunshine during these uncertain times.
I’d like to share a couple of cards I made a couple of weeks ago for the weekly challenge over on the Cotswold Crafter blog. We were challenged to use either the same die or stamp on two different cards.
I chose Sue Wilson’s ‘Regal’ striplet die.
For my first card, I cut the die (without its outer cutting edge) three times into my background card. I mounted this onto Anna Marie Designs ‘Blissful’ Cotton papers, adding a pierced frame. I topped it with Sue Wilson’s ‘Hamilton’ die also cut from the pretty papers, along with the pierced flags. The Tim Holtz butterfly finishes it off. The sentiment is from LOTV.

For my second card, I cut the complete die out of Kraft card. Again I’ve used Anna Marie Designs ‘Blissful’ papers, this time in Cocoa. The Memory Box swirly flower die holds the circular LOTV sentiment.

 Thanks for stopping by.
Stay safe.

Happy Easter

Hi.
Just a quick post today to wish you all a Happy Easter.

My cards were made using Anna Marie Designs ‘Blissful’ papers in Cocoa and Teal. The die cut cross is by Marianne Designs, the flower from Sue Wilson and the sentiment from LOTV.

Whatever you are doing this Easter weekend, I hope you have a lovely time. Stay safe.

More Recent Makes.

Hi
Hope everyone is keeping well and staying safe. Sorry not to have blogged for a few days, along with crafting, I’ve been at work. One of the lucky ones, I’m grateful I can still go out to work during these times, caring for our residents at the retirement village where I work.
I thought I’d share a few cards with you, which I hadn’t got around to blogging, but wanted them to have their day on the blog.

The first card was one I made for my sister-in-law’s Birthday. I used Sue Wilson’s ‘Hamilton’ die from the New Zealand collection. I cut the shape twice into the cream card, and then cut again using its outer edge to use as the focal point. The patterned papers are from Anna Marie Designs ‘Blissful Cotton’. The flower is by Sue Wilson and the sentiment from Just Rite Stamps.

The second card, I made to participate in a blog challenge over on the Cotswold Crafter blog. It was a tic tac toe challenge and I chose punch or die cut, patterned paper and floral. Again, I’ve used Anna Marie Designs papers in ‘Blissful Teal’. The curved borders are from Spellbinders as well as the medallion which the Crafters Companion flower sits on. The LOTV sentiment was stamped onto the Sue Wilson pierced flag dies.

The third card uses Sue Wilson’s ‘Scandinavian’ background die and the ‘Hamilton’ die again, layered with ‘Blissful Teal papers. The circle sentiment is from LOTV.

I hope you like them. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe.
