Frustrated!

Aaaarghh. I am so frustrated with myself!! For the last couple of weeks I've been unable to do any cardmaking. Have all these ideas going round in my head of things I want to do, yet when I actually manage to sit down and do them my mind goes blank. So I end up packing everything away without doing anything! Oh well, perhaps tomorrows Penny Black Challenge will give me some inspiration. I sure do hope so!!!

My Lovely Sister-In-Law.

Spent a day trying out some new photography skills in the week, and I managed to persuade my sister-in-law to pose for a photo shoot (she usually hates having her photo taken!) Anyway, we had a lot fun and I was pleased with the end results. Overall they were all fantastic, but just wanted to share with you a few of my personal favourites.

Hi.

Not been blogging lately - main reason due to problems with computer which has been sooooooo slow - seems to have rectified itself at the moment (until the next time!!) Also been busy trying to get to grips with my camera. Have attended a couple of short courses now, so think I'm finally grasping it, but need to be able to get out and put what I've learnt in to practice. Although the way the weathers going there doesn't seem to be much chance of it at the moment.! xx

I Love ACETATE!!

Hi. Just wanted to share with you some acetate cards I've made recently. Am loving using it at the moment, and although these cards are quite basic, there are loads more different ways of it being used. Am not too sure about the black and gold card - didn't quite get my aperture centre, but like the overall effect of the window so will be trying out some more ideas pretty soon. Anyway, I hope you like them. xx

I'm Back!!!

I know its been ages and as I've said before I will keep trying to update more often - but time just flies. Have been so busy! My eldest started secondary school and my youngest has just been on a residential to Swanage with his school. Not only have I been busy working and crafting, but I've also joined the Docrafts site and have started uploading images on there. Have had some lovely comments on my cards, and the site also offers loads of inspiration from some very talented crafters. Am also excited too, as on Monday am going to a photography taster session. Have been saying for ages that I must get to grips with my camera, well this will be a start and hopefully I'll finally be able to get off 'auto' mode!!

Have got some pics I want to upload, but its getting late, so will do them over the next few days. Promise!! xxx

Handmade Flowers.

Just wanted to share with you some flowers I made using my Big shot. I'm rather pleased with the way they've turned out (even if I do say so myself!)

Anyway, here's how they were made:

Joy! Crafts cutting and embossing dies - flowers (3 sizes)

K&Company papers - 'Classic K Bailey' and 'Roam'

Brads

I die cut 2 of each size of flower, then attached them all together using a brad. The smallest size flowers on top, then the medium size and then the largest. I tried to place them with the petals of the next flower in between the gaps. (some did move round slightly, but I don't think this has ruined the overall effect). When all flowers were in place, starting from the smallest I turned each petal upwards to achieve the desired effect.

Hi. Yes i am still alive! I haven't blogged since january, been so busy with work, kids and home.
I just don't know where the time has gone, and next week its my Birthday!! (already). At this rate it'll soon be xmas.
Am making the most of my rare spare time with crafting, and am having loads of fun using my new toy - got a sizzix big shot back in february - and am loving it!
Anyway, its getting late, have spent time looking at penny black challenge, and this computers really slow tonight!
